End of the Millenium? NOT. The first millenium started the first day of year 1 and ended
the last day of the year 1000. The second millenium started the first day of the year 1001
and ended the last day of the year 2000. The third millenium will start the first day
of the year 2001 and will end the last day of the year 3000. Oh, I say, I think you’ve got it.
The year that ends with 1 is the beginning of the decade, centennial and millenium.
